MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao suffers his first loss since 2005. Timothy ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley takes the WBO World Welterweight title via split decision.

Pacquiao was aggressive early on and never let up overwhelming the defense of Timothy Bradley.

He sized up Bradley in the first round but never let up from there. Bradley found himself clinching, and ducking Pacman’s punches all through out.

Bradley was landing body shots early on but went away from it midway through the fight. The ‘desert storm’ went back to his game plan in the latter rounds and managed to stick around until the 12th proving he is indeed rock solid.

Jerry Roth is the only judge who scored the fight in favor of the Pacquiao, 115-113. Both CJ Ross and Duane Ford scored it 115-113 in favor of Bradley.

Fans from all over were shocked by the decision. Rappler’s Natashya Gutierrez tells us the mood in the arena right after the fight.

In the post fight interview, Pacquiao says he wasn’t hurt at all with Bradley’s punches. He said he’s not sure what happened since he was blocking all of Bradley’s punches. Pacquiao also said that he was willing to fight Bradley again if the opportunity presented himself. Taking his loss with humility he said, That decision is already done and I give the credit to him.”

Even Floyd Mayweather Sr. says Pacquiao should have won the fight. Bob Arum had this to say, “I’ve never been so ashamed to be part of boxing as I am tonight.” The Top Rank CEO goes on to bash the judges, “They don’t know how to score. This wasn’t a close fight. This is not good for the sport of boxing.”
