Pacquiao must force Mayweather into a brawl, says Mosley
"Manny throws a lot more punches but Floyd throws more accurate. We’re gonna see in this fight whose style is better," says Mosley

LAS VEGAS, USA – Shane Mosley, who is one of five men to fight both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, gives the slight edge to the undefeated boxer in fight on Saturday, May 2.

But he thinks it will come down which fighter is able to impose his distinct style at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“I feel we have an exciting fight here. I think that Manny can be able dictate the pace and make Floyd fight at a more faster pace,” said Mosley, a three-division world champion. “But I still think Floyd has the edge; I think that he’s more witty when it comes to movement and angles, and that’s where Manny will have a problem.”

“Sugar Shane” had Mayweather hurt badly in round two of their 2010 fight before Mayweather came back to dominate the rest of the fight for a unanimous decision win.

Pacquiao dropped Mosley in round three of their bout and shut him out on two of the three judges score cards when they fought the following year.

“This fight can go either way because each guy has a lot of strengths and power, where Floyd’s traditionally not good with fighting southpaws. Manny gets hit with right hands. One throws the left hand, one throws the right hand. Manny throws a lot more punches but Floyd throws more accurate. We’re gonna see in this fight whose style is better.”

Mosley says that Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 knockouts) must force Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) into a fire fight and not allow Mayweather to utilize his boxing skills. “Because if he doesn’t, he’s gonna lose very big.”

Mosley started to say that he thought Pacquiao was a more determined fighter but stopped just short before rethinking his assessment. “Both guys have great hearts and determination. I think this fight Manny’s determination…I can’t even say that, might be higher but Floyd’s afraid to lose so his determination is high as well.”

He did think Pacquiao was the bigger puncher of the two, but wants to see how Mayweather’s work with former Pacquiao conditioning coach Alex Ariza turns out. – Rappler.com
