MANILA, Philippines – Popular video game designer Hideo Kojima made a surprise appearance at Sony’s E3 press conference in Los Angeles on Monday, June 13 (Tuesday, June 14 in Manila), unveiling Death Stranding – his first game since leaving Konami.

“Today, I am very excited to be able to deliver this teaser trailer of Death Stranding, which marks a fresh new start for Kojima Productions,” said Kojima at the premiere of the game’s first teaser trailer.

Developed by Kojima Productions, which is now an independent developer, Death Stranding features Norman Reedus as the main character. The game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive title.

As with all of his past works, the new game is produced, written, directed, and designed by Kojima himself.

“Since the establishment of Kojima Productions last December, I have been fully focused on what lies ahead. Thanks to our fans and everyone at SIE who have been supporting us as our partner, and we look forward to delivering groundbreaking play to our users worldwide,” he said.
