Fil-Am bet loses race for Pennsylvania State House seat

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino American Will Sylianteng failed to clinch a seat in the Pennsylvanie State House of Representatives as a representative of the 151st District or Montgomery County.

Garnering a total of 4,185 votes or 40.9% of total votes, the Democrat lost to incumbent Representative Todd Stevens, who received 6,060 votes or 59.2%.

Sylianteng, a lawyer, is one of about 30 Filipino Americans vying for a seat in the 2012 US Elections. - Rappler.com
