Odds favor Dos Anjos, Holm ahead of UFC 197

MANILA, Philippines – Betting odds are heavily in favor of Rafael dos Anjos and Holly Holm retaining their respective world titles in separate championship clashes at the UFC 197 pay-per-view event on Sunday, March 6 (Saturday, March 5 in the US).

According to Bovada.lv, dos Anjos is listed as the -130 favorite in the super-fight with McGregor, who is labeled as the even-money underdog. 

In layman’s terms, a bet of $130 on dos Anjos would net an additional $100. On the opposite end, a $100 wager on McGregor would earn $100.

It is in complete contrast with McGregor’s wager in a potential rematch with Aldo as the Irishman opened as the -190 favorite against the former 145-pound champion, who is stamped as the +155 underdog. 

In the other title tilt, Holm is pegged as the -325 favorite, while Tate comes in as the +250 underdog.

Structured as a money-line game, odds will change in either direction as the fight approaches because sportsbooks will attempt to even the playing field and spread wagers on both sides to cover the risk. 

UFC 197 is set to take place at a yet-to-be-announced location in Las Vegas, Nevada.
