MANILA, Philippines – Museo Pambata (MP) celebrates culture this August. Activities showcasing the Filipino culture as well as cultures of ASEAN countries are lined up to reintroduce the culture and heritage of the various countries in Southeast Asia.

It’s ASEAN Cultural Week from August 12 to 17. MP teams up with National Commission for Culture and the Arts to promote diversity and heritage in th week-long celebration where kids can learn more about the ASEAN member countries through storytelling sessions, film viewings, games, workshops, arts and crafts activities, and much more.

The Regalo del Cielo Children’s Choir brings well-loved Filipino songs in “Ang Musikahan sa Museo” for a morning of musical fun celebrating the Filipino language on August 24. A folkdance performance and an arts and crafts activity with museum guides can be enjoyed on August 17 and 18 respectively.

Museo Pambata is located at Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, Manila. Museum hours from Tuesday to Saturday are from 9 AM to 5 PM (closed for lunch from 12nn to 1 PM) and 1 to 5 PM during Sunday. All activities are free with admission (Php 100 for both children and adults). Manila residents with valid IDs may come in for free during Tuesdays and avail of a 50% discount on other days.
