Still cloudy for Visayas on Maundy Thursday

MANILA, Philippines – Visayas will still experience cloudy skies on Maundy Thursday, April 17, state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

This will be accompanied with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. 

A low pressure area was located at 80 km southeast of Surigao City as of 4 pm Wednesday, April 16. 

Bicol region, Mimaropa, Zamboanga peninsula, and northern Mindanao will also experience cloudy skies but with scattered light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Coastal seas will be moderate to occasionally rough as moderate to occasionally strong winds blow from the northeast to northwest over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas.

Elsewhere, they will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to the northwest.
