MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Storm Paeng has intensified on Saturday morning, November 1 as it continues to move over the Philippine sea, state weather bureau PAGASA said
As of 10 am, the center of Paeng was located 1,100 km east of Legazpi City, with maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 120 km per hour.
While the tropical storm is still too far to affect any part of the country, PAGASA said it will continue to enhance northeasterly winds over the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon and of Visayas.
Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are warned not to venture out over these seaboards, as rough to very rough sea conditions can be expected.
Paeng will move west northwest at 13 km per hour, with an estimated rainfall amount of 7.5 to 30 mm per hour (heavy–intense) within its 500 km diameter.
It is expected to be at 925 km east of Daet, Camarines Norte by Sunday morning, November 2, at 1,030 km east of Tuguegarao City by Monday morning, November 3, and at 1,170 km east of Itbayat, Batanes by Tuesday morning, November 4.
The next bulletin on Paeng will be issued later at 11 pm. – Rappler.com
