Smart, Globe reveal price for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus

MANILA, Philippines – Rivals Smart Communications Incorporated and Globe Telecom Incorporated announced on Friday, November 7, the prices for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Both telecommunications giants are scheduled to unveil the newest iPhones on Friday, November 14.

Here’s a table of the iPhone and iPhone 6 prices from Smart and Globe:

Smart offering

From Smart, the new Apple Incorporated devices are also available under iPhone Plan 1799; data plan 2000; and data plan 3000. There is a corresponding cash out of P5,000 ($110.88) to as high as P26,300 ($583.48) for the iPhone 6 and P5,000 ($110.88) to as high as P30, 900 ($685.53) for the iPhone 6 Plus.

Both iPhone offers come with free all-net texts, all-net calls plus consumable data every month for video and music streaming, file uploads and downloads, and chatting, said Smart postpaid marketing head Kathryn Carag.

Carag added that existing subscribers who want to upgrade to the new iPhones could do so with the help of Smart’s Wipeout promo.

Under the promo, existing subscribers would be allowed to “wipe out” their existing contracts as long as they have less than 20 months left on their contracts. Corresponding discounts on the wipeout fee would be applied depending on the number of remaining months in the contract.

Additionally, every subscriber that avails of the wipeout promo could get free one-year handset insurance on their new iPhones for repair and replacement of the units in case of accidental damage or loss.

Smart subscribers could pre-order beginning Friday, November 7, or visit this link to register interest in grabbing a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus.

Globe offering

On the other hand, Globe said the new Apple products are also available for prepaid subscribers for P37,500 ($832.04) for the iPhone 6 for 16GB; P43,000 ($954.07) for the 64GB; and P48,500 ($1076.10) for the 128GB.

For iPhone 6 Plus, Globe offers P43,000 ($954.07) for the iPhone 6 Plus 16 GB; P48,500 ($1076.10) for the 64GB; and P54,000 ($1198.14) for the 128GB.

iPhone Forever subscribers who are on their 13th to 24th could trade in or pay a cash out for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Globe said.

Globe said the company would offer the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus beginning November 14, but interested buyers could now pre-register via Globe’s website.

Apple Inc launched in September the iPhone 6 featuring a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and iPhone 6 Plus with a 5.5-inch display.

The smartphones include the Apple-designed A8 chip with second generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture; advanced iSight and FaceTime HD cameras; ultrafast wireless technologies; iOS 8; and Apple Pay.
