Alaska received good news as Abel Galliguez did not suffer any fracture following his horror fall during their PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals battle against TNT.

Galliguez had to be rushed to the Medical City Clark in Pampanga as he sustained a deep gash above his left eye when he fell head first after an on-air collision with Ray Parks.

The burly guard needed to be stretchered off the court before he got transferred to a wheelchair while wearing a neck brace.

Despite complaining of neck pain after the accident, Galliguez was cleared from head injuries and concussion as he underwent MRI and CT scan.

His wound, though, required 20 stitches to close.

“So far no fractures. That is a good sign,” Alaska team doctor Facundo Sun told reporters in the PBA bubble.

Alaska already left the bubble on Sunday, November 15 as it crashed out of the playoffs following its 83-104 blowout loss to TNT. – Rappler.com
