Mariel Padilla defends husband Robin from ‘baseless gossip’

Mariel Padilla has come to the defense of her husband Robin Padilla after the actor’s name began trending on Twitter on Thursday, January 21, along with Mocha Uson’s name.

“So many people are sending me messages… ‘checking’ on me. People are tagging me bla bla bla… let me tell you this. ROBIN’S BROTHER PASSED AWAY. He is grieving. He has never been in so much pain all his life. He doesn’t need your baseless gossip,” Mariel wrote on Instagram on Thursday.

“Namatayan ng kapatid yung asawa ko. Please lang po. He doesn’t even know anything about all this rumor but i am putting a stop to this NOW. May oras para maging assholes now is not that time. Please,” she added. Robin’s brother Royette died on January 9 at the age of 58.

Mariel’s Instagram post is in response to rumors that have been circulating on social media, claiming that two certain celebrity personalities – Mocha Uson and Robin Padilla – are allegedly expecting a baby together. – Rappler.com
