Mac Belo and Baser Amer will both find new homes for the first time in their PBA careers.

According to the development first reported by Spin.ph, Blackwater will be trading Belo to Meralco while the Bolts will be sending over Amer in a one-on-one trade.

The trade has reached the commissioner’s office on Tuesday, February 2, after the blockbuster CJ Perez trade to San Miguel that involved a total of 6 players.

Three-time PBA All-Star Amer saw action for 18 games in the bubble and averaged 9.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

In the 2018 Mindanao All-Star game, Amer emerged as the MVP and was selected in the last one held in 2019 as well.

Belo, who was the number 1 overall pick during the 2016 PBA Gilas draft, averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in the bubble.

Both players saw action in the country’s campaign in the 2015 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Singapore, where the Philippines won its 16th gold in the regional biennial meet. – Rappler.com
