CONVERSATION: What’s your superhero wish list?

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – It doesn’t matter whether they’re Avengers, Guardians, or Agents: we simply can’t get enough of superheroes. Once upon a time, only comic book fans had their favorites. But thanks to Hollywood, superhero love has become something of a worldwide phenomenon. 

It’s easy to see why: we can’t exactly wear the tight spandex costumes, but these above-average beings can do lots of things we can’t. They fly, control the elements, or build million-dollar weapons. They battle intergalactic creatures, smash down alien bullies, and manage to keep believable alter-egos in their spare time. And yet, for all their exciting endeavors, their values are still very human and noble: bravery, loyalty, love for family, or selflessness.

We wanted to know: who’s your favorite superhero? Why does he/she rock your world? Or if you could have your own super powers, what would it be and how would you use it?

This conversation was held last Friday, August 15 at 4 pm. We used the hashtag #SuperMe. All who participated got a chance to win a DXD gift pack with 4 passes to meet and greet Spider-Man at the Cignal TV’s Disney XD event on Sunday, August 24, 11 am at the Event Center of SM Megamall.

Raffle Mechanics:

1. Rappler will gather all the names of people who joined the Cignal conversation using the hashtag #SuperMe. Participant must tag @rapplerdotcom and use the hashtag #SuperMe to qualify. Participant must also be following Rappler to receive the DM notification.
2. All Twitter handles of qualified entries will be encoded in alphabetical order and assigned a nominal order.
3. Raffle will be conducted using Randomizer.org. 10 winners will be drawn.
4. Winners will be notified by DM and Twitter mention two days after the conversation.
5. The winners will get a DXD gift pack plus 4 passes to Meet & Greet Spider- Man.
6. Rappler winners may claim their prize on August 24, 10 AM at the Cignal booth located at the Event Center of SM Megamall. Please do not forget to bring your valid ID.
