How the right friends bring out your #BestBeautiful
Here are some beauty tips that friends can bond over

MANILA, Philippines – Your hair is too big. Your clothes don’t fit you. Your skin looks bad. You gained so much weight! Have you ever been told any of these things?

And did these comments come from your “friends?”

Let’s be honest. Women don’t just desire to be a carbon copy of something they see on a magazine or on social media. At the end of the day, women also want to achieve their dreams, be comfortable in their own skin and be their best beautiful selves. That requires being confident and proud of who they are inside and out.

However, reality is, women tend to be conscious of how they look and what other people think about them. Just like everyone else, women fear of being judged, especially by the people they value.

This is why they turn to their best friends (not the faux friends that just smile at you when you’re in front of them). These true friends are there for you – in everything from which company to work in to what moisturizer to use. They will give you their honest opinions and truly want the best for you. They’re different from the fake ones who pounce at your every flaw or who invent ones if they can’t find any. And they’re definitely not the ones who celebrate your misfortunes.

A truly #BestBeautiful friendship

You are lucky if you have someone you can call up at any time of the day for anything. This is the person whose house you can visit anytime without an invite.

But true friends are not just people you hang out with. They also support you in any way possible. They’re happy for you when you achieve something, and they support you when you need help. Ultimately, your friends help you bring out your best beautiful self. This includes looking good and feeling good about yourself.

Women like to bond. Think about it, why do women need to go to the washroom together? And why do we have slumber parties and men don’t? Women talk about everything, from their achievements, challenges and even down to their skin care regimen! Every woman has her own routine. Sharing some tried and tested tips can be one way of showing how you look out for your friends.

Here are some tips on skin care you can share with your friends (if you haven’t yet, that is):

 1.    Develop a regimen early on

People tend to think using products on your skin are only required at a certain age. Think again. Considering the pollution and harmful elements we are exposed to every day, plus the food we eat, our skin gets affected no matter what age. So better to start cleansing, toning and moisturizing early to have good skin in the future.

 2.    Choose the right product for your skin type

Not all products available in the market cater to all skin types. Some women have sensitive skin compared to others, which is why there are products made specifically for them. So get to know your skin type before trying anything to get the most out of these products and only get the best results.

 3.    Don’t wear make up everyday

We all know we have to let our skin breathe every so often. So even when you want to jump right in to bed after a tiring day (or night) make sure your skin can also get some rest from the make up you put on. And take advantage of the days when you can go without make up on as well to give your skin a break.

 4.    Hydrate and moisturize

Hydrate your skin by drinking more water and finish your skin care regimen with some moisturizer. This is the most important step to keep your skin healthy.

 5.    Pamper your skin

You don’t need to go to a spa or get the most expensive treatments. Just develop a skin care regimen that fits perfectly in to your schedule and  addresses your skin problems, if any.

Women shouldn’t settle for anything less when it comes to skin care – also when it comes to choosing friends who encourage you to be your #BestBeautiful. If you take good care of yourself, you’ll be happy with who you are inside and out and create relationships that only make you better.

True friends want you to be and look awesome because they’re pretty awesome, too. And that’s the true meaning of being fierce and fabulous. What do you do to help bring out your friends’ #BestBeautiful self? Share it with us in the comments section below. – Rappler.com
