Outdoor-ready, front projection screens now available in the Philippines

[NOTE: The following is a press release from FNTSI]

MANILA, Philippines – Front projection screens from dnp denmark are now available in the Philippines through local distributor Fil-Nippon Technology Supply, Inc (FNTSI). These screens are designed for brightly-lit environments and are used by top companies, universities, churches, museums, music halls, bars, and malls across the globe.

When it comes to displays, bigger is always better. This is why TVs often come in sizes of 65 to 80 inches. But have you ever seen a 120-inch or 240-inch TV? Normally, a TV of that size would use Large Format Display, which is a set of back-lit LCD or LED bulbs built into tile formats that combine to form one giant display. It’s a neat solution but often beyond the budget of most companies, as this technology runs into the millions of pesos and might come out as too pixelated or bright.

The front projection screens from dnp denmark are made up of 7 layers of optical films fused together to control the light in any environment, which brings Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) technology into play. The full range of the light from projectors are absorbed and reflected back in full color depth and contrast, resulting in TV-quality imaging. The ALR “rejects” the ambient lighting that would normally dim your screen.

This technology has been around for many years and is now available in the Philippines. dnp denmark has recently released a touchscreen version that is ideal for corporate boardrooms.

Check out the slideshow below for some actual installations of these screens worldwide.
