DPWH: 24/7 secretary’s hotline 165-02 now working
For feedback or complaints on DPWH-related projects, call 165-02 or text 2920

This is a statement from the Department of Public Works and Highways.

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar on Wednesday, August 24, has launched a 24/7 secretary’s hotline to effectively receive any complaint, query, or suggestion on any DPWH-implemented project nationwide.

“DPWH Projects are projects of the Filipino people. We’re asking for the help of every Filipino in ensuring that the projects are implemented well and at the right quality,” Villar said.

He added: “It has been almost a month since I assumed office. As promised, we now have a 24/7 hotline (165-02) available to hear your feedback on how our agency can improve its policies, programs, activities and projects.”

Villar said this is only one of the mechanisms that would be put in place to ensure transparency of operations within the department.

“President Duterte’s instruction is clear – Get rid of corruption. Make information accessible to the people,” Villar said.

The secretary, however, warned against possible abuses, “Prank callers will not be tolerated. Allow us to do our job well.”

Other than the 24/7 secretary’s hotline (165-02), citizens may also text their feedbacks to 2920. – Rappler.com
