This also marks the 8th year celebration of MSA. With its 300-strong membership base of Manila-based surfers ranging from casual beginners to hardcore regulars, it aims to create positive impact in surfing communities all over the Philippines.

True to its commitment to positively impact local surf spots and communities, proceeds from the competition shall go to MSA’s Surfskwela Fund which will benefit three schools in La Union. A Kick-Off Party will be held on February 20, Wednesday, at Handlebar Makati, 8PM, for donation drive to amass used books, educational materials and school supplies in support of the Surfskwela project.
