SPi Global, the largest Filipino-owned business process outsourcing (BPO) company, was named among the world's top 100 BPO players by industry research group, Global Services

MANILA, Philippines – SPi Global, the largest Filipino-owned business process outsourcing (BPO) company, was named among the world’s top 100 BPO players by industry research group, Global Services.

This is the second year SPi secured a spot in, and the only Filipino-owned company among global peers in, the “Global Services 100” list, which is a tool for buyers of business and technology services to identify and select the right vendor.

“The global service provider landscape is increasingly getting complex,” said Ed Nair, Editor of Global Services.

“But buyers are looking at vendors with scale, skill, or both in delivering business outcomes and not cost-savings alone. The companies on the Global Services 100 list have demonstrated their ability to deliver complex solutions and services, manage global customers, and sustain successful financial performance,” Nair added.

The list does not reflect the largest outsourcing vendors but the diversity and overall landscape of the service provider community in terms of company sizes, countries of origin and countries of delivery.

Global Services chose from 4 key criteria: performance and leadership, quality and maturity of customers, breadth of services offered, and spread of global delivery capabilities. Companies participated in the online survey, conducted between May and June 2012.

“We are very proud and honored to have this recognition,” said SPi Global President and CEO Maulik Parekh in a statement. – Rappler.com
