MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released P3.929 billion to the National Electrification Administration (NEA) as subsidy for electric cooperatives hit hard by Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

The subsidy, which is made under the Yolanda Recovery and Rehabilitation Plan, will help 33 electric cooperatives in 19 provinces in Luzon and the Visayas, according to NEA.
