Joss Stone murder plot: Beyonce also a target?

MANILA, Philippines – The two men who had plotted to murder Joss Stone in June 2011 may have had more targets, according to an article in HuffingtonPost.com.

Last March 21 (March 22 MNL), the trial of the two suspects, Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, revealed that they had been plotting to murder other stars like Beyonce and Chris Brown.

Bradshaw and Liverpool were arrested in 2011 near Stone’s home and were found carrying a samurai sword, hammer and a lock knife.

Notes were found in their car detailing how Bradshaw and Liverpool planned to kill Stone. According to the notes, they planned to cut off her head then throw her body in the river.

During the March 21 trial, a detective revealed that police had discovered a diary in Liverpool’s home in which he had written about his need for a silencer, semi-automatic gun, infrared equipment and a “ninja sword.”

The diary also noted Stone’s date and place of birth and an account of her musical career. Liverpool also enumerated the following words in the diary: “rob,” “wet/injure” and “death.” “Wet” is a slang word for stab.

Celebrity targets

As if that wasn’t grisly enough, the diary also listed down names of other stars they wanted to murder. Beyonce, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Eminem, Dizzee Rascal, Craig Davis and Girls Aloud were mentioned in the diary. However, the court did not release further details about what else the diary says about the artists.

It has been reported that the two wanted to harm the 25-year-old singer because of her ties to the British royal family.

A few days before the trial of the suspects, Stone admitted to the court that her home’s security arrangements were lax. She said she did not lock her front door and rarely used her alarm. But since the murder plot was revealed, the singer has tightened security.

Last December 2012, it was also found that Justin Bieber was the target of another grisly murder plot. ABCNews.Go.com reports that a convicted killer imprisoned in New Mexico was hatching a plan to castrate Bieber and his bodyguard before strangling them.
