A video shows touching moments with Brian O'Conner, Walker's character in the film franchise

IN LOVING MEMORY. The 'Fast and Furious' cast and crew mourn the loss of Paul Walker. Screen grab from the video

MANILA, Philippines – The cast and crew of the “Fast and Furious” franchise honored one of their former lead stars, Paul Walker, in a video tribute posted Wednesday, December 4.

It was posted on the film’s official YouTube account as their way of honoring the actor, who died in a car accident in California on Saturday, November 30.

Walker, 40, and his friend Roger Rodas were killed after a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT they were riding slammed into a tree and caught fire.

The video features a montage of clips from the “Fast & Furious” film franchise that featured the deceased star, some dating back to the first installment in 2001. It was set to the song “Coming Home” by Diddy featuring Skylar Grey, and showed memorable scenes such as Dominic Teretto (Vin Diesel) offering a toast to the importance of family.

The caption thanked the public for their support and urged them to donate to Walker’s charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) in place of sending flowers and gifts.

Prior to the crash, Walker had been at a ROWW charity event for the benefit of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims in the Philippines.

‘Fast & Furious’ family in mourning

Walker starred as undercover agent Brian O’Conner in 5 of the 6 full-length films released by the franchise thus far. Production for the 7th installment, which he was also part of, has been halted to give focus on supporting Walker’s family and determining the future of the film.

“Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended ‘Fast & Furious’ family of cast, crew and filmmakers… We feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on ‘Fast & Furious 7’ for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” a statement said.

Walker’s co-stars mourned his passing on social media.

Vin Diesel posted a photo on Facebook saying he wishes Walker could see “the profound impact” his life has had on the cast and on Diesel himself.

Diesel called Walker by his “Fast & Furious” name, Brian, saying he will always love him as the brother he was on and off screen.

In Instagram, rapper and actor Ludacris took note of Walker’s “humble spirit.”

“You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P.”

Singer and actor Tyrese Gibson shared his last conversation with Walker, thankful he was able to say “I love you.” He described Walker’s passing as “worse than his worst nightmare” and asked people to pray for his daughter and family.
