MANILA, Philippines – The movie On the Job was the biggest winner in Sunday night’s (March 9) Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Pasay City.

Winning Best Picture of the Year, the movie produced by Star Cinema also gathered Director of the Year for Erik Matti, Best Cinematography, Best Editor, and Screenwriter of the Year for Matti and co-writer Michiko Yamamoto.

Actor Joey Marquez grabbed the Movie Supporting Actor of the Year for the said film as Sgt. Joaquin Acosta.

Meanwhile, Movie Actor of the Year went to Vice Ganda for his varied roles in the movie Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.

Movie Actress of the Year went to KC Concepcion for her as Marla de Guzman in Boy Golden: Shoot to Kill.

Angel Aquino on the other hand grabbed the Movie Supporting Actress of the Year for the movie Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita.

For the Indie categories, the movie Badil won Best Picture and Director of the Year for Chito Roño.

Newcomers Vince Tanada and Isabelle Daza meanwhile won the New Movie Actor and Actress of the Year awards for their roles in Otso and It Takes a Man and a Woman, respectively.

Child star Ryzza Mae Dizon was awarded the Movie Child Performer of the Year for My Little Bossings.

Special awards were also handed out to Rustica Carpio (Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award), Peque Gallaga and Ricky Lee (Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award).

Eugene Domingo, Judy Ann Santos, and Ai-Ai De Las Alas meanwhile were the Dekada Actress awardees, while Baron Geisler, John Lloyd Cruz, Aga Muhlach, Piolo Pascual, Dennis Trillo, and Jericho Rosales were awarded the Dekada Actor awards.
