Elizabeth Chambers speaks up after abuse allegations vs ex Armie Hammer

TV personality Elizabeth Chambers has broken her silence over allegations that her estranged husband, actor Armie Hammer had sexually abused various women.

Several women have anonymously come forward on social media with screenshots of messages allegedly sent to them by Hammer, detailing cannibalistic sexual fantasies such as drinking blood, eating hearts, and cutting off toes.

Other exchanges showed the alleged victims confronting Hammer about being raped by him. Some of the messages were supposedly sent while Hammer was still married to Chambers.

Chambers has yet to directly address the allegations, but said on Instagram on February 2: “For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated.”

“Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know,” she continued. “I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.”

Chambers said that she will no longer comment on the matter and will be focusing instead on their two children, and on her own healing.

“Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward,” she said.

Hammer hasn’t responded to the accusations directly either, but announced that he was stepping down from his role in the upcoming film Shotgun Wedding because he couldn’t leave his children for 4 months following the allegations, which he called “bullshit claims.”

Chambers and Hammer announced their divorce in July 2020, just months after celebrating their 10-year wedding anniversary. – Rappler.com
