MANILA, Philippines – Angelito is performing on Rappler Live Jam!

The singer-songwriter grew up in a musical family – both his parents were performers before they all moved to the United Kingdom. There, Angelito stayed close to the spotlight by doing theater, and eventually finding music again while going through a period of healing at a rehabilitation center.

At age 13, he wrote his first song called “Young and the Courage” (which he says no one should ever hear, but we’re curious) – and he hasn’t looked back since. After deciding that the academic life wasn’t for him, Angelito decided to drop out of university and head to the Philippines to get in touch with his roots and pursue a music career.

Since then, he’s released several songs – some of which he’ll be performing on the show, right in time for Pride.
