Luca and Alberto go on a summer adventure!

Disney and Pixar released late Thursday, February 25, the first teaser for their upcoming animated feature, Luca, a story about two teenage sea monsters who “experience a life-changing summer.”

In the teaser, Luca and his friend Alberto are running around a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, enjoying the summer as most teenage boys would. Towards the end, however, we’re let into a secret – Luca and Alberto are sea monsters, who turn back into their underwater state as soon as they touch water.

Luca, directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Andrea Warren, stars Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro, a 13-year-old sea monsters “with endless curiosity – especially when it comes to the mysterious world above the sea.” His buddy the “independent, free-spirited teenage sea monster” Alberto Scorfano, is played by Jack Dylan Grazer.
