HIGHLIGHTS: K-pop World Music Festival 2019
Missed out on the concert? We got you covered!

MANILA, Philippines – K-pop fans trooped to the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, June 9, to witness not one, not two, but 5 artists perform during K-pop World Music Festival 2019

For more than two hours, the audience screamed their lungs out just to cheer for K-pop acts Sohee, Kim Dong-han, Elris, NCT 127, and Red Velvet.

Ryan Bang hosted the show and translated for the artists during their “ment” – the K-pop jargon for breaks in between concerts when artists greet and talk to their fans.

During the concert, Ryan also gave a shoutout to the “Megastar,” Sharon Cuneta, who is a K-pop fan herself. Sharon, a self-confessed NCTzen (NCT fan), got to meet NCT 127 that night.

Sohee joined her fellow members as Elris graced the MOA Arena stage with their songs “Summer Dream,” “Will Be Mine,” “We, First,” “Heart Bank,” and “Pow Pow.”

Only 4 members danced onstage, however, since Bella was injured. She still joined her members during their ment.

The crowd went wild as soon as NCT 127 went onstage to perform their first two songs “Fire Truck” and “Cherry Bomb.”

During their ment, the boys acknowledged Filipino K-pop fans’ energy during concerts. They also had this to say to their fans:

NCT 127 wrapped up their set with “Simon Says,” “Regular,” and their latest song, “Superhuman.”

Sunday’s final act was 5-member group Red Velvet, who opened their set with a bang as they sang two of their hit songs, “Red Flavor” and “Power Up.”

It was the group’s second time together in the Philippines after their first visit in 2015. During their ment, the girls talked about what they’d like to do when they go on vacation here in the country.

At one point in the ment, member Irene asked the audience whether they’d watch a Red Velvet solo concert, to which the audience answered a very loud “yes”!

Red Velvet sang “Moonlight Melody” before closing the concert with their hit song “Bad Boy,” and their latest title track, “Really Bad Boy.”
