SNSD’s Taeyeon set for July comeback

SNSD member Taeyeon is dropping a new song! 

SM Entertainment confirmed on Tuesday, June 29 that Taeyeon is releasing her newest single “Weekend” on July 6. Teaser photos for Taeyeon’s new single have also circulated on social media.

According to Kpop Herald, “Weekend” is an “upbeat disco pop genre that relays a message of escaping from every day routine and enjoying one’s weekend to the fullest.”

“Weekend” marks Taeyeon’s first solo release since her fourth mini-album I Call You in December 2020. In May 2021, Taeyeon was featured in SHINee’s Taemin’s “If I Could Tell You” track. 

As a soloist, Taeyeon is known for her hits “Fine,” “Rain,” and “What Do I Call You.” She made her debut under SNSD (also known as Girls’ Generation) in August 2007. – Rappler.com
