LISTEN: Zild rocks out in new track ‘Apat’

Zild continued to release more new music from his upcoming album, dropping a new solo single, “Apat,” on Thursday, February 25, with the music video premiering at 5 pm.

Characterized by a distinct drum beat and deftly-layered instrumentals, the song talks about the bittersweetness of fleeting friendships, with Zild inviting listeners to savor each moment.

“It’s about seizing the moment – staying in the present and not worrying about what comes tomorrow,” the IV of Spades bassist said.

In the same vein as his earlier release “Kyusi,” “Apat” has a more organic, old-school rock ‘n’ roll sound – notably different from his 2020 solo debut album, Homework Machine, which had a more electronic flavor.

“Apat” is released under Balcony Entertainment, a label run by Rico Blanco, who has become something of a guide and mentor to Zild in his solo career.

“Zild is on a whole new level, creatively; these are definitely exciting times for us at Balcony Entertainment, and personally, for me as well – because I can’t help but admire the pace and the path he is currently creating for himself: it’s very inspiring,” Rico said.
