Artist reimagines Disney princesses as Kardashians and Jenners

MANILA, Philippines – Illustrator Dylan Charles Bonner combined two groups of pop culture stars in his work: Disney princesses and the Kardashians. 

The recent Ringling College of Art and Design graduate was asked by Refinery29 to create these charming images and, according to his Tumblr blog, Dylan finished all 6 renditions and had them up on Refinery29’s site in 36 hours – they were published on July 30.

Some of the highlights of his collection include Kim Kardashian West as Snow West, Khloe Kardashian and her flowing tresses as Rapunzel, and momager Kris Jenner as Maleficent. 

“As a member of the LGBTQ community, I have so much respect for these ladies after seeing them handle everything they’re going through with Caitlyn (Jenner) and handling a difficult transition with grace and open arms,” said Dylan on Tumblr. Caitlyn, formerly Bruce, came out as a transgender woman towards the end of season 10 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK), but had not yet transitioned to become a woman. Refinery29 had asked Dylan to draw the cast of KUWTK season 10, hence the lack of a Caitlyn Jenner-inspired princess.
