Chrissy Teigen, John Legend expecting first child

MANILA, Philippines – Model Chrissy Teigen, wife of singer John Legend. announced that she is pregnant with their first child.

Chrissy shared the news on Instagram, Monday, October 12.

“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 🙂 As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!” she wrote.

The baby announcement comes after Chrissy shared in an interview a few weeks ago about their struggle to conceive.  In an interview on the show FabLife which she and Tyra Banks host, Chrissy said it was a difficult process.

“We would have had kids 5, 6 years ago if it had happened. But, my gosh, it’s been a process,” she said.

In an interview on E Online, she said: “I just wanted to talk about it for so long,” she shared. “It didn’t feel right to tweet like, ‘Ugh, doing my IVF shots again.'”
