VIENNA, Austria – Austrian rock duo White Miles, support act at the Bataclan concert hall the night gunmen targeted the Paris venue, confirmed Tuesday, December 15 they will dedicate a gig on Thursday to a member of their entourage slain in last month’s carnage.
White Miles were supporting Eagles of Death Metal, who were on stage when the gunmen launched their attack which killed 90 concertgoers on November 13.
One of those mown down was Nick Alexander, a 36-year-old Briton who was selling merchandise for the bands at the concert.
“Our show in Innsbruck on December 17th will be played in remembrance of our lost friend Nick Alexander,” White Miles, from Austria’s western Tyrol region, said on their website.
“We play rock´n roll, this is what we do and this will never change! Celebrate life!”
After a coordinated wave of Paris attacks left 130 dead, including the 90 victims in the Bataclan, the band scrapped planned dates in Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
