IN PHOTOS: Divine Lee, Blake Go’s first photos with baby Baz

MANILA, Philippines – Divine Lee and Blake Go now have a son!

The couple welcomed their first child, Basquiat Delfin Lee Go – or Baz for short – on Saturday, May 5. (READ: Divine Lee, Blake Go are expecting a baby)

“The team of doctors were so good. I was nervous about having [a] C-section, but everything went so smoothly. Even to my recovery! One advice would be [that] you have 9 months to decide. [So] find a team of doctors who you really trust and feel comfortable with,” Divine said in a release about her first labor experience. (IN PHOTOS: Divine Lee, Blake Go get married in Cebu)

The couple posted their first photos with their son on Instagram. “Yesterday, I’ve found my purpose in life. Happiness never felt so real,” Blake said in his photo caption.

Like many babies nowadays, Baz has his own Instagram account. There, his parents explained that he was named after Jean-Michel Basquiat, the artist, because Divine is a big fan of art and Madonna. Basquiat and Madonna dated in 1982 – the year Divine and Blake were born. Baz’s second name, Delfin, is from his grandfather, Divine’s dad.

Hi guys! How’s everyone doing? I’m Basquiat Delfin L. Go — Baz for short. Sorry it took some time for my big reveal. It was getting cramped up there, and Mom had to undergo CS coz I was a bit shy to go out on my own. ‘Rents named me after Basquiat (the artist) because Mom’s a big art fan and Dad wanted the nickname “Baz”. But I think Mom secretly wanted Basquiat because the artist dated Madonna (You know she’s the biggest Madonna fan, right? And they dated in 1982 – the year of birth of both Daddy and Mommy). Ninong Nixy @nixalanon and Ninong Rajo @rajolaurel helped them choose names over martinis and a virgin colada for Mom! My second name is from my Grandpops. They want me to take after my namesake, my Grandpoppy, who is known to be kind, generous and strong-willed. Mom’s been praying the novena nightly that I may grow up to be healthy and happy, and take after my Dad’s temperament and Mom’s grit (hopefully not the other way around, haha!) Dad’s been so excited to play golf with me and Mom has already prepared my golf outfits. Heard that I have some blended friends and family waiting for my arrival! Can’t wait to meet you all!
