WATCH: Emma Stone slays Jimmy Fallon in epic lip sync battle

MANILA, Philippines – Jimmy Fallon and Emma Stone faced the music in a hilarious lip sync battle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, last April 28 (April 29 in Manila). 

Known for her flawless comedic timing and goofy personality, Emma Stone took on the equally funny television host Jimmy Fallon in a shameless lip sync battle. Dressed in a sleek peek-a-boo cocktail dress, Emma brought her A-game, just for this musical number.

Jimmy started off the battle with Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” with his own fancy moves. To this warm up number, Emma admitted, “I’m impressed, Jimmy. I’m impressed,” then proceeded to bring the house down with “Hook” by Blues Traveler.  

Emma confidently “sang” through the rollicking tongue-twister, snapping her head and growling with all the attitude of a true performer. The actress later admitted that though she was supposed to be lip syncing, she pretty much sang along the song anyway–“It was karaoke for me!”

Following this up, Jimmy amused with “Mr. Roboto” by rock band Styx. His goofy robotic moves carried him through the quirky song, which he ended with an exaggerated belt to the deafening applause and laughter of the audience. “How can I be out of breath in a lip sync battle?” he later joked.  

“Okay, that was incredible. You’re a very worthy competitor,” Emma declared about Jimmy’s second song, before launching into a beyond-swag performance of “All I Do is Win” by DJ Khaled. Popping moves to the beat and her eyes wide with an almost terrifying intensity, Emma pretty much shut it down. Ludacris’ rap in the middle of the song did not deter her at all—making her the clear winner of the battle. 

“Oh my goodness, come on! That was the best song that has even been done on the show!” Jimmy proclaimed, as the audience obviously couldn’t get enough of this redhead.

Emma Stone is now promoting her new movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where she reprises her role as Peter Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy. – Rappler.com
