MANILA, Philippines – Filipino YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos has done it again, releasing his own version of the song “Latch,” by Disclosure featuring Sam Smith's signature smooth vocals.
The singer posted his a cappella version of the hit song on his YouTube account, on Saturday, July 5. In the video, several versions of him are seen performing different parts of the song.

According to the description, the song debuted on July 3 during the segment Sukapellas on Good Times with Mo, Mikey, and Sam on Magic 89.9 FM.
A British singer-songwriter, Sam Smith rose to fame when he sang the song together with electric music duo Disclosure.
This is not the first time the Filipino-Canadian sensation has sang his version of popular hits. He also recorded a version of Avicii’s hit song “Wake Me Up,” and Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," among others.
Mikey rose to fame in 2003 when he landed a spot on Canadian Idol. His stint on the show led him to perform around Canada and the US before coming to Manila. His hilarious observations on Filipino culture has been documented on his YouTube videos which include an introductory piece to the Filipino accent, dining culture, and his parody of Psy’s “Gangnam Style” known as “Opo Pinoy Style."
Aside from his radio DJ stint, Mikey is also an events host, actor, and product endorser. He recently interviewed YouTube sensations Sam Tsui and Kurt Hugo Schneider for Rappler on their music and lives. He also performed last June 26 for YouTube fans at Whitespace, where he sang with Bogart the Explorer. – Rappler.com
