Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes engaged

MANILA, Philippines – The primetime king and queen are officially engaged.

Actor Dingdong Dantes popped the question to his girlfriend of 5 years, actress Marian Rivera, during his guesting on her show Marian, Saturday, August 9.

According to a report from GMA News, the actress was emotional as Dingdong (who was also emotional) asked her the question.

“I wanna spend the rest of my life with you… Ikaw ang sagot sa aking mga dasal (you are the answer to my prayers)… I offer you myself, my love today and all the days of my life. So please, Marian, will you be my wife?” Dingdong asked the actress who is celebrating her birthday in the show.

The actress responded by giving him a kiss on the lips. Marian will turn 30 on August 12.

Prior to the announcement, Dingdong posted on his Instagram a photo of the two of them together from a trip to Cambodia.

“This photo of a not so recent trip depicts a “finale pose” of an intimate dance. I am just so excited for tomorrow’s show. #lastdance #FBF #Marian #cambodia,” the caption read.

He also posted another photo of a chandelier on Saturday, August 9.

“Hit the lights! #lastdance” read the caption. 

The two first worked together when Marian got the role of Marimar in 2007. They worked on a number of shows such  Dyesebel, Endless Love, and Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang. – Rappler.com
