Janice Dickinson accuses Bill Cosby of sexual assault
She says that Cosby attacked her in 1982

MANILA, Philippines –  TV personality and model Janice Dickinson has accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault, saying that he attacked her back in 1982.

She told Entertainment Tonight that Cosby, now 77, invited her to meet in Lake Tahoe, California, and that he gave her a drink and a pill, which she had asked for because she wasn’t feeling well.

“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she said. She said that she remembered Bill Cosby dropping his robe and getting on top of her.

She further said that she tried to write about the incident but ended up not including it in her autobiography, published in 2002, because Cosby’s lawyers pressured her not to come out with the story.

They had previously met before to discuss a possible role on the popular sitcom The Cosby Show. Cosby reportedly called Dickinson while she was in rehab, and some time following that, they met in Tahoe, where the incident took place.

According to NBC news, Bill Cosby’s lawyer Marty Singer said that the claims weren’t true:

“You can confirm with Harper Collins that she never claimed that Mr. Cosby raped her, that no attorney representing Bill Cosby tried to kill the story…and no one tried to prevent anything she wanted to say about Bill Cosby in her book…There is documentary proof that Janice Dickinson is fabricating and lying about Bill Cosby.”

Two other women have accused Cosby of sexual assault. Former publicist Joan Tarshis said that Cosby assaulted her in 1969, and another woman, Barbara Bowman, said she was attacked in 1985, when she was only 17.

Cosby’s lawyer John Schmitt said that the old “discredited allegations” against Cosby weren’t true, and that Cosby was not going to comment.  – Rappler.com
