Isabelle Daza signs with ABS-CBN
Isabelle’s first project is a series called 'Nathaniel' with Gerald Anderson
MANILA, Philippines – Isabelle Daza is officially a Kapamilya. The daughter of actress Gloria Diaz signed a contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, November 24. She was accompanied by her manager Leo Dominguez during the contract.

Present during the signing were ABS-CBN broadcast head Cory Vidanes, president and CEO Charo Santos Concio, Star Creatives head Malou Santos, chief finance officer Aldrin Cerrado and TV production head Laurenti Dyogi.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Isabelle or Belle, as she is often called, said it was a difficult decision to leave her former station, but she wanted something new.

“I wanted a new challenge in my life and I want to try something that I haven’t done. I want to to expand my horizons and take this journey as an actress naman,” she said.

She added leaving Eat Bulaga was the hardest, since she has been with the show for close to 4 years. Last Saturday, November 22 was her final day with the show.

Nung Saturday last day ko na (Last Saturday was my final day). It was very emotional lalo na kay (especially with) Ryzza (Mae Dizon) because she’s my little student, but they were all very supportive and they all wished me luck and they are excited also to see what I have in store here sa ABS-CBN.”

Isabelle said that her contract is exclusive for both TV and movies. Her first project is a series called Nathaniel with Gerald Anderson.

“Yes, kasama ako sa cast ng Nathaniel. (I am part of the Nathaniel cast.) I will be working with Gerald Anderson and Shaina (Magdayao), Pokwang and Coney Reyes and amazing cast. I’m so excited for that,” she said.

Isabelle said that she always wanted to work with Gerald.

Si Gerald talaga ang gusto kong makatrabaho kasi nakita ko siya sa On The Job and I saw kung gaano siya nag-grow as an actor and I was very impressed. So siya ‘yung number one, that’s why I’m so excited to work with him.”

(I really wanted to work with Gerald because I saw him in On The Job and I saw how he grew as an actor, and I was very impressed.)

She also said she is looking forward to working with John Lloyd Cruz, whom she worked with in the movie It Takes A Man and a Woman alongside Sarah Geronimo.

Isabelle said that her mom told her to do her best.

Ang sinasabi ng mom ko, siyempre ‘Do your best, you are only as good as your last scene’ at ‘Shaina is a good actress, you have to learn from her.’ Also she told me – siyempre my mom is my number one fan – ‘you are magaling.’ She always tells me that every day, so parang ‘yun ang palagi kong naririnig sa kanya. But she said ‘ABS-CBN is a different level and they really expect the best from you,” Isabelle said.

(What my mom said of course was ‘Do your best, you are only as good as your last scene and ‘Shaina is a good actress, you have to learn from her.’ Also she told me – my mom is my number one fan – ‘you are good.’ She always tells me that every day, so I always hear it from her. But she said ‘ABS-CBN is a different level and they really expect the best from you.’) – Rappler.com
