MANILA, Philippines – Robin Padilla has expressed disappointment over the decision of Judge Jocelyn Solis Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 221 to grant bail to Sajid Islam Ampatuan, one of the suspects in the Maguindanao massacre in 2009.

On Instagram, Robin said that because of this latest development, he is seriously thinking of leaving the Philippines.

(There is really no rule of law in our motherland, the Philippines, Lady Justice doesn’t really sees us fairly, the government has no teeth against powerful people. This country’s Department of Justice is filled with syndicates. As the election approaches, the teeth and claws of politicians are coming out, they are starting to plan, install warlords, and truly, the approaching elections is full of travesties.)

“My Almighty God, my creator Allah, pls take me out of this Forsaken Land….my wife @marieltpadilla bring me out of this Lawlessness,Insanity, Underworld, before its too late for us … My leader @ricardopenson i am leaving the Motherland ASAP, I am sorry gentlemen and women of the Katipunan, no room for change in this country, all this I cannot bear to witness any longer @omengq Forgive me my everdearest mother @evacarinopadilla,” he continued.

On Monday, March 9, Sajid was released after being allowed to post bail of P11.6 million for the 58 counts of murder filed against him in court.

The Ampatuan clan was believed to have plotted the Maguindanao massacre, which killed 58 individuals, including 32 journalists, to derail the political plans of rival Esmael Mangudadatu for the 2010 elections. Mangudadatu is now governor of Maguindanao. – Rappler.com
