Actress Liezl Martinez dies
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Ana Lisa "Liezl" Sumilang Martinez died on Saturday morning, March 14, a family member confirmed.
Liezl's maternal uncle, Cheng Muhlach, said that the former child star died at 6:15 am due to Stage 4 cancer, radio station dzMM reported.
She was 47.
Muhlach also said that Liezl's wake will be at Arlington Memorial.
Liezl is survived by her husband, actor Albert Martinez, and her 3 children. She is the daughter of former celebrity couple Amalia Fuentes and Romeo Vasquez.
Liezl was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2008, and with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2011.
Liezl first broke into show business at a very young age under the stage name Anna-Lissa, with her first film Portrait of An Angelat just 4 years old with mom Amalia. Her previous roles include Liezl at ang 7 Hoods, Europe Here We Come, and Poor Little Rich Girl. She was also a member of the MTRCB board. – Rappler.com
