These guys attempt to experience labor pains

MANILA, Philippines – Men can’t physically know the pain women go through when they bear children, but can a simulation come close to replicating the experience?

A group of guys (the Try Guys, best known for performing wacky tasks like trying on women’s underwear or getting crushed trying UFC) subscribed to that experience for BuzzFeed, as seen in a video posted over Mother’s Day weekend. The video is one of a 5-part set on motherhood.

Yvonne Bohn, an obstetrician/gynecologist told the boys: “It is the most painful painful thing in the world. I don’t think there’s any external pain in my opinion that could simulate the way labor feels.”

The simulation was done via a machine that enables the mimicking of labor contractions. 

How did the guys fare? Eugene, one of the guys who actually had electrodes placed on his perineum, said: “And now when I see women I’m just going to say, ‘I’m so sorry that people ever think they can tell what to do with your body because you have to deal with your own body already.” – Rappler.com
