Julia’s good vibes with Enrique

 

MANILA, Philippines – Many will agree that Julia Montes has great chemistry with promising young actor Enrique Gil in their ABS-CBN serye, “Muling Buksan ang Puso.”

This is a good thing for the 18-year-old star who also needs a change of scene from her successful teamup with Coco Martin in “Walang Hanggan.”

“I want to move on because Coco is doing his own thing now and I’m being paired with Enrique,” said Julia.

“Pero mukhang hirap pang mag-move on ang fans ng love team namin ni Coco. Up to now, active pa rin yung CocoJul fans kahit iba na rin ang kapareha niya sa show niya.”

(But it seems the fans are having a hard time moving on from the CocoJul love team. Up to now, they’re active, even if Coco is already being paired with the others in his shows.)

“It’s nice to know that they are still there for me and Coco. But they should understand that we need to work with other people.

“Hindi naman puwedeng parating si Coco ang kasama ko or ako ang parating ka-partner niya.” (It can’t always be Coco and me.)

Mature, a lot of sense

Working with Enrique in their drama series is such a breeze, since Julia has already worked with the young actor.

“We’ve worked before in the show, ‘Shoutout,’ and in two movies, ‘The Strangers’ and ‘Reunion.’

“But it’s here in ‘Muling Buksan’ that we became much closer.

“He’s very mature for his age and he talks a lot of sense.”

But doesn’t her other partner, Enchong Dee, come close to Enrique?

“Okey naman kami ni Enchong.” (Enchong and I are okay.)

“I’ve worked with him in many projects already. Pero may sarili namang mundo si Enchong, eh.”

(But Enchong has his own world.)

“He’s preoccupied with other things. Unlike si Enrique, we talk about many things in common.”

Time slot

“Muling Buksan” will take over the late night spot soon to be vacated by “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” starring Judy Ann Santos.

Julia’s show will be up against the top-rating GMA gay-serye, “My Husband’s Lover.”

Taking over “Muling Buksan’s” original time slot is the series “Got To Believe,” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Julia has clarified rumors that she was displeased about her show making way for Kath Niel.

“It’s not true na nagalit daw ako. Bakit naman ako magagalit?” (It’s not true that I was mad about it. Why would I be angry?)

“It’s the decision of the management kung saan kami ilagay na time slot [which time slot they choose]. There’s nothing we can do about it.
