WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

After months of challenges – including last-minute tweaks leading up to the pageant’s finals night – a new Miss Universe Philippines will be crowned on Thursday, September 30.

The pageant, only the second under the Miss Universe Philippines organization, happens in Bohol, where 28 candidates and the pageant team have been locked-in for over a week by the time the coronation night rolls around.

Rabiya Mateo will be crowning her successor, who’s set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Israel come December.

Meet the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 judges

Miss Universe Philippines 2021 has announced its panel of judges on Thursday, September 30.

The panel is made up of Hilton Manila commercial director Joanne Golong-Gomez, Frontrow Philippines CEO and co-founder Sam Verzosa, celebrity dermatologist Vicki Belo, fashion designer Jojie Lloren, and Roku Group CEO Sheila Romero.

The judges will be selecting Miss Universe Philippines 2021, as well as Miss Universe Philippines Tourism, Miss Universe Philippines Charity, and the 1st and 2nd runners-up.

Miss Universe PH 2021 coronation night to have live audience

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced on Monday, September 28 that the pageant night will have a limited live audience. 

Only 100 tickets will be available and they’re priced at P10,000 each. Those interested to be part of the live audience are also required to be fully vaccinated and present negative RT-PCR results. 

The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 grand coronation night will be held in Panglao, Bohol on Thursday, September 30. It will be available for streaming on KTX.ph.

Coronation night hosts, performers announced

TV personality KC Montero is returning to host the pageant’s coronation night for the second year in a row.

Sam Concepcion and Michael Pangilinan, meanwhile, will be performing during the finals. Sam is set to sing an original song during the final swimsuit round while Michael will be serenading the finalists during the evening gown competition.

If you want to watch live, the coronation night streams first via KTX. The P599 pass gives you access to the coronation night, as well as video-on-demand replays of the swimsuit and evening gown prelims and the Q&A special.

If you’re fine with a delayed telecast (as in, three days later), the finals night will also be streamed for free via ABS-CBN’s YouTube Channal, iWantTFC, and TFX IPTV but only beginning October 3.

It’ll also air on free TV via GMA on October 3 at 9 am with exclusive interviews with the judges and the new Miss Universe Philippines.
