MANILA, Philippines – It was another big night for Filipino music as Star Music awarded the winners of this year's Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs competition on Sunday, April 24. (LISTEN: The top 15 of Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2016)

The grand prize went to the song "Dalawang Letra" by Davey Langit, which was interpreted by the Itchyworms

For Himig Handog 2016, 15 new and old songs were interpreted by local artists and popular love teams, including Angeline Quinto, Morrisette, and Ylona Garcia and Bailey May. 

Robi Domingo, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, and Kathryn Bernardo hosted the show.

Judges for the night included Donna Cruz, Vernie Varga, Raymund Marasigan, Yeng Constantino, Piolo Pascual, and Gary Valenciano.

Gary opened the night with a special number, while other special performances were done by stars like Daniel Padilla.

These are the night's big winners:

Best song – "Dalawang Letra" by Davey Langit, interpreted by the Itchyworms

 

2nd Best song – "Monumento" by Jungee Marcelo, interpreted by Kris Lawrence and Kyla

 

3rd Best song – "Laban Pa" by David Dimaguila, interpreted by KZ Tandingan and Jay R

 

4th Best song – "Tama Lang" by Agatha and Melvin Morallos, interpreted by Jolina Magdangal

 

5th Best song – "Parang Tayo Pero Hindi" by Marlon Barnuevo, interpreted by Michael Pangilinan and Angeline Quinto

 

Star Music listener award – "Nyebe" by Aries Sales, interpreted by Kaye Cal

 

MR101, TFC Choice, One Music Philippines, and Best Music Video – "O Pag-ibig" by Honlani Rabe and Jack Rufo, interpreted by Bailey May and Ylona Garcia
