MANILA, Philippines – Aside from enhanced author attribution and post embedding, Google+ on the desktop looks to be getting another addition: photo editing.
Previously a part of Google+ on the Android and iOS apps, photo editing capabilities are now available on Google+ if you’re using the Chrome browser.
The new capabilities are based on Nik Software’s SnapSeed, which Google acquired last year.
Accessing the editing function is easy: when you’re in the photos section on your Google+ account, you can just click on a photo, then click the edit option in the lightbox that appears.
The functions include an auto-enhance option, selective adjustment options for portions of a photo or the entire photo itself, and photo filters.
Those who aren’t using the Chrome browser aren’t completely left out. Basic functions like cropping and rotating will be generally available, and can be found right above photo when it’s in lightbox mode. – Rappler.com
