MANILA, Philippines – Halloween’s coming up and with it comes Ocean Park Hong Kong’s annual Halloween Fest!
On its 15th year, Ocean Park’s Halloween Fest is chock-full of creepy haunted houses and cute daytime attractions that turn sinister at night. Not everything at the all-day-and-night park will leave you with nightmares though – Halloween Fest is fit for all ages, so kids are welcome too.

If you and your family and friends are looking for some frightful fun this Halloween season, Ocean Park’s Halloween Fest runs from October 2 to November 1. On a recent media tour, we got to see some of the scary treats at the location. Let’s take a look:
Haunted houses
- H15
Location: Thrill Mountain, The Summit 11am-11pm
Last year’s H14 attraction – where a group of people faced their fears while trying to complete a series of tasks to advance to the next chamber – was a big hit.
This year, Ocean Park decided to bring it back as the hair-raising H15. H15 lets you experience a solo journey “post-mortem,” where you’ll enter a morgue and be strapped down to a mortuary bed, be escorted by a “corpse bearer” through your own funeral, and walk through the underworld to face ghouls alone.
The attraction is so scary that there’s a scare word you can use if it all gets to be too much.
Because of its chilling scenes, this attraction is restricted to those ages 16 years old or above.
Registration is a must for this attraction. Click here for more details.
- Lolita Mansion/Bloodborne Mansion
Location: Thrill Mountain, The Summit 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm/ 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm
This Victorian mansion seems innocent during the day: cute and sweet girls welcome and escort you in, while chivalrous butlers are ready to have a selfie with you. You’ll be toured around the mansion’s ballroom, grand dining hall, and luxurious bedchambers too.
As darkness falls, though, the Lolita Mansion loses all its innocence as it transforms into the BloodBorne Mansion, where the sweet faces that greeted you in the morning have become creatures of the night, thirsty for blood to sustain their eternal youth.
- Puppet Master’s Deadly Workshop
Location: The Abyss, The Summit 1:00 pm – 11:00 pm
You’ll get a trip down memory lane here, as the Puppet Master’s creepy dolls bring back your childhood nightmares. You’ll relive those sleepless nights as he tells his horrifying tale and brings his creations to life – but this time, there are no adults to make you feel safe.
- Walking Dead Survival
Location: Waterfront Plaza 1:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Can you survive a zombie apocalypse? This is your chance to find out! Ocean Park HK takes you through familiar scenes from Fox’s The Walking Dead and experience what it’s like to have ferocious zombies on your tail.
- 15 Years of Horror
Location: Adventure Land, The Summit 1:00 pm – 11:00 pm
If you’re ready to relive your nightmares from the previous Halloween Fests (or if you missed out on those and want to see more creepy creatures), check out 15 Years of Horror, where you’ll get to meet characters like Miss Luna Midnyte (2006) and Lady Gwai Gwai (2010). They’ve brought back the sets from the past too, like the eerie Police Station No. 13 (2009) and the Chinese Wedding of the Departed (2012), so you’ll have the complete experience.
Surprises
- Doraemon @ The Halloween Movies Studio
Location: Whiskers Harbour, The Waterfront 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
Aside from the haunted houses, Ocean Park has more tricks up their sleeve for Halloween Fest. At the Doraemon @ The Halloween Movie Studios, you and can engage with the producers in making a Halloween movie of everyone’s favorite character, Doraemon.
- Toxic Challenge/Mutant Escape
Location: Cable Car Plaza, The Summit 11:00 am – 5:30 pm, 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm
Another attraction that transforms in the night, the morning’s Toxic Challenge lets you and an opponent can compete in a 40-meter inflatable obstacle course. If you’re looking for more of an adventure though, come back to the inflatable at night and run for your life in the Mutant Escape, which is filled terrifying monsters and “poisonous” fog.
- Trick or Treat Pumpkin Trail
Location: Emerald Trail, The Waterfront 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
Halloween is never complete without Trick or Treat! You can earn your candy stache this year through games in the Trick or Treat Pumpkin Trail.
Shows
- Hellympics
Hellympics is just one of the shows to watch while you’re at Ocean Park’s Halloween Fest. You can also catch Dr Alien’s Freaky Lab, My Bloody Romance, and Death’s Pyre if you want some downtime during your stay at the park.
