Be part of AIESEC’s Youth-to-Government forum
Calling all Filipino voters aged 18-25 years old!

This is a press release from AIESEC Philippines.

MANILA, Philippines – Present in 124 countries with over 60 years of experience, AIESEC is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their potential to create a positive impact in society as the leaders of today and tomorrow.

AIESEC has been advocating for youth-driven leadership and cultural diversity here through global exchange programs since 1968. AIESEC in the Philippines is present in 17 universities and colleges across the country.

In March 2015, it launched its first ever Youth-to-Government Forum with the goal to provide a platform for the youth to express their opinions and ideas to the government. More than 600 delegates came from all over the country to make this goal a reality.

Since 50% of the Filipino population is from the youth, this 2016 elections, the youth will be playing a vital role in deciding the future of our country. With election season nearing, it’s important to involve the youth in such an event that changes our nation’s course. What better way to become a part of the May 2016 elections but by becoming a youth leader for the nation?

This coming January 2016, AIESEC in the Philippines will be having an event that will enable youth leaders to be a part of the big change in our nation. Youth-to-Government will be a month long series of forums based on the different regions of the country.

In partnership with Rappler’s Move.PH, these series of events aim to engage the youth in the coming May 2016 elections through discussions on what kind of leader the Philippines needs and how to develop these traits in the youth.

AIESEC is inviting the youth to be a part of the next Youth-to-Government forum. Get involved by working hand-in-hand with members of this organization to enlighten fellow youth members to vote, know who they’re voting for, and make sure that the Philippines will be in good hands in the next administration.

In order to make these events possible, we’re opening applications for Regional Organizing Committees for the Y2G forums in the different regions of the country.

We’re targeting to have regional Y2G events in all 18 regions to increase reach and to inform more future voters of the Philippines.

We are calling for FILIPINO VOTERS aged 18-25 years old. The applications for the Regional Organizing Committee is open until October 6, 2015. Apply here if you’re interested. –  Rappler.com
