According to the SC Public Information Office, the RTC judge and his wife were in their car about to alight when the attack happened. Alaba’s spouse was also wounded.

“Witnesses disclose that the lone gunman was spotted waiting for Judge Alaba near the compound of the court,” said the SC, calling for swift investigation into the matter.

On his Twitter account, Senator Juan Edgardo Angara, who used to be congressman of the province, also condemned the killing.
