Camarines Norte congressman dies
MANILA, Philippines – Camarines Norte Second District Representative Elmer Panotes died of pneumonia on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, reports said.
Media reports quoted House Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II confirming the death of Panotes, who had a long bout with prostate cancer.
Panotes, who was on his second term, was 75.
Prior to his stint in Congress, Panotes was Daet mayor from 1992 to 2001, and from 2004 to 2007. – Rappler.com
