ANGELES CITY, Philippines – Two armed robbers were killed in an alleged shootout with policemen in Anunas village at past midnight on Sunday, June 26.

Senior Supt. Sidney Villaflor, police officer-in-charge in Angeles City, said patrolling policemen caught the motorcycle-riding duo while robbing 2 teenagers at gunpoint in Villasol Subdivision around 12:10 am.

As the policemen were approaching the suspects, the armed robbers hurriedly sped off.

A chased ensued, with the policemen catching up with the suspects along Don Juico Avenue and ordering them to pullover.

Police found near the robbers’ bodies two .38 revolvers handguns without serial numbers – one was loaded with 4 live bullets, and the other with 3 live bullets. Six more bullets were found from the sling bag of one of the slain suspects.
