Davantes' gold Toyota Altis car is found in Camella homes Sunday morning

MANILA, Philippines – Finally, a breakthrough.

After a one-week search, police recovered the missing car of murdered advertising executive Kristel “Kae” Davantes at Camella Homes in Las Piñas City on Sunday morning, September 15, said Phiilippine National Police spokesperson Senior Supt Reuben Theodore Sindac.

As of posting time, Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) are processing the vehicle while Davantes’ relatives are identifying personal items found in the car.

Personnel from the National Capital Region Police and Special Investigation Task Group are also at the scene.

Sindac said Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas “assures the family, relatives and friends of Kae Davantes that there will be no let up in the investigation of this case.”

The development is seen as a breakthrough on the case, which had earlier left police clueless as to the motive of the ad exec’s killing.

Davantes was found dead on Saturday, September 7, under a bridge in Silang, Cavite. She was last seen driving a Gold Altis car with plate number PIM 966 after a night out with friends on Friday night, September 6, at the Bonifacio global City in Taguig.
